	For the money. You don't make a lot of money per ebook but multiple sales can add up. And if a list owner feels that your ebook is a good fit for his or her that might appeal to them. (Especially list owners who don't have really big lists yet, so-they aren't generating a ton of money on their own.)

	For the back-end money. Another reason a list owner might be willing to promote your ebook is for ONGOING commissions from sales of OTHER products and services that their buyers could purchase from you after the initial ebook sale. (By setting your partners up as affiliates you can make sure they continue to get paid on these sales and I show you how to do that.)

	To Build Their Lists. In an ebook launch, each joint-venture partner offers a bonus with each ebook purchase. After completing the purchase, each buyer can take some or all of the bonuses offered. In order to get each bonus, the buyer will be required to put in their name and email address before they can access it. So each joint venture partner collects names through the launch and builds his or her list. And they know that they could get a lot of names and emails from the launch since there are several joint-venture partners who are all promoting your ebook! To sell a lot of ebooks at one time, you MUST have joint-venture partners. Once you have that, you can sell through email, a teleseminar, a virtual ebook tour (where several joint-venture partners send their subscribers to a single teleseminar where you discuss and sell your ebook) or a series of teleseminars with one partner at a time (which is much more time consuming). This is called a rolling launch.

The problem with teleseminars and virtual ebook tours (where you do a teleseminar specifically to sell ebooks) is that it's live, things can go wrong, and you don't have as much control over the process. It takes different skills to write an ebook than it does to create effective direct marketing materials, and sell on teleseminars. And, most people, even great ebook authors, don't necessarily have the necessary skills to pull it off when they are first starting out.

And without experience, teleseminars can be a nightmare. And even when you do, you still have to HOPE that your interviewer doesn't blow it-because the truth is that even some of the most "successful" experts suck on teleseminars! And if you don't do them the right way, you won't make any sales. And you've got NO control over what they are going to say or do on a teleseminar.

Not only that, but even if they good at it, if they are having a bad day and their energy isn't "up", that can affect sales too. With ebook launches, you don't have to worry about any of this. You write the email, which you can test ahead of time, and send it to all your partners to email to their lists all on the same day and that's it! And even if they personalize it for their list, which is encouraged, chances are it will retain it's impact. But if by chance a couple of them screw up the letter you've still got 18 or more partners who did it right. So the odds are in your favor no matter what!

Now there are a lot of other ways you could sell ebooks like through forums, chat rooms, discussion boards, blogging, article writing, video...I could go on and on. But none of the other ways of sell your ebook comes close to using joint-venture partners because they all work by selling one ebook at a time unless you use affiliates to get the word out..say with a video. Or you hit the jackpot and create an amazing video that goes viral, but that's like waiting to win the lottery, not likely!

And, in my experience, most affiliates don't make you any money and the ones that do are more apt to actually get the email out (with the video in it) if it's a launch on a specific day that they have committed to participating in.

And if you're getting more than a trickle of sales, chances are you spending some bucks and there are still no guarantees- like with ezine ads and pay-per-click. But these can also be problematic...If you don't have a kick-butt sales page ezine ads won't help. But that won't be an issue with your ebook launch because I go over your ebook and all your support materials as part of the process to make sure they are ready to launch. And if they aren't, I tell you what you need to do to fix them and we don't move forward until you do! Because this is one time when the adage, "You don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going doesn't work!" A better expression for an ebook launch would be "You only get one shot to make a first impression!"

And I know of more people who have spent hundred seven thousands of dollars on Google ads to no avail. In fact, I had to laugh when I saw a BIG Google expert was going to be doing a conference on "nailing" Google and in order to just GET IN you had to prove that you could spend at least $5,000 a month on Google ads! You read that right! Enough said about that!

How Do I Start?

You can start sending out emails asking people to partner with you, but as I said, if your ebook and sales process aren't first-rate, it could be a waste of time.
